Overview
Ama Dablam Expedition in Nepal (6812m.) is one of the challenging and most beautiful mountains in the world. The area of this mountain is alpine rocky climb which has a most spectacular ascent of the Himalayas. The mountain is just 6812meter high but its steep ice, rock and snow climbing makes it one of the most technically difficult expedition to conquer the summit.
Ama Dablam Expedition in Nepal is climbed from its Southwest ridge normally because it is the easiest ascent to climb the peak. It requires 3 high camps to climb the mountain peak because of its rocky and ice covered way. Expedition of the peak also provides the superb view of the landscapes from Tengboche monastery area along with the view of Sherpa villages- Pangboche which is at the altitude of 6856m.
The expedition begins from Lukla, a village cultivated by indigenous Sherpa people. Lukla is the gateway to Khumbu region. The trail is pleasant crossing through many Sherpa villages and grassy land. Enjoying the scenic beauty the trail reaches to the Base Camp of Mt. Ama Dablam which is the best panoramic site of the Himalayan region. The trail leads up to a saddle passing through old grassy moraine ridge. Then the trail begins climbing up the rocky ascend to the ridge where the 1st camp is set. The expedition trail goes crossing a rocky area and climbs the ridge to the 2nd camp is fixed. From the second camp, the route continues in a steep with rock and ice which reaches to the amphitheater and follows the steep snowy area along the ridge to access 3rd camp. Climbing from the Camp III is steep snow and ice to the right of a glacier on the slope of 50 degrees to submit the top.
Mt. Aba Dablam expedition is a longer package for who can climb the snow-capped mountains with rock climbing. The climber needs technically experienced and physically fit with good health too. The mountaintop view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Lhotse, and Cho Oyu is astonishingly beautiful as you reach the summit of the peak.
Details Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu at TIA, a representative of World Sight Journey will warmly welcome you to Nepal. She/he will guide you towards the hotel room of Nepal. The day can be either rest day or some sightseeing day of Kathmandu. The night will be at the hotel by discussing the tour and enjoying the delicious dinner.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding
Early morning, we will catch the flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. Throughout the flight, we will enjoy the view of great ranges of the mountain through the flight. The view of snow capped mountains from the top will obviously interesting. After landing at Lukla, we will move towards the Phakding following the main trail. The trekking goes for about 3 to 4 hours.
Day 03: Phakding to Namche Bazaar
From Phakding, we will start our journey early in the morning. We will move forward to Namche Bazaar. The phenomenon goes for about 5 to 6 hours. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River which will enable us to enter into the Sagarmatha national park. Continuing our trail, we will reach to Phakding through the main trail. The night will be fantastic at Namche Bazaar at 3440m.
Day 04: Namche Bazaar to Khumjung
From Namche Bazaar, we will trek toward the beautiful trekking region of Khumjung. The Khumjung is at the height of 3790m above sea level. The trekking goes for about 5 to 6 hours long. We will trek from the trail of Everest base camp which will enable us to meet with many fellow trekkers during the trekking period.
Day 05: Khumjung to Tengboche
From Khumjung, we will trek towards the Tengboche following the main trail of Everest base camp. The trail will offer us many glittering views of mountains along with the hospitable people of the surrounding. Tengboche is at the altitude of 3860m above sea level. We can visit the Tengboche monastery during the leisure time.
Day 06: Tengboche to Amadablam
From Tengboche, we will walk towards the height of Amadablam. The Amadablam base camp is situated at the height of 4600m above sea level. From the base camp, we can view the best scenario of the mountain and the close-up view of Mt. Amadablam. The night will be at Amadablam base camp at the tented camp.
Day 07 to Day 20: Climbing Period
From the base camp, we will climb towards the height of Amadablam peak. We will set up our camp at different height while making our expedition to the summit. A continuous effort will enable us to reach the summit of Amadablam. From the summit, we can view the best possible view of mountains all over the region. Then we will return back to the base camp following the same trail.
Day 21: Back to Khumjung
From the base camp of Amadablam, we will trek back to Khumjung. The return journey will be through the same trail but with the different feelings. We will trek to the trail with our pleased heart. The trekking will continue until we reach to the Khumjung. The night will be at Khumjung.
Day 22: Khumjung to Namche Bazaar
From Khumjung, we will trek towards the down track of Namche Bazaar. The downhill trail will be surely interesting and enjoyable too. The night will be at Namche Bazaar enjoying with the friends and crew members. The night will be relaxing too at the hotel of Namche Bazaar.
Day 23: Namche Bazaar to Lukla
From Namche Bazaar, we will trek through the smooth surface of the Everest region. We will make the journey entertaining by viewing the surrounding area along with interacting with the people. Therefore a relaxed journey of about 6 to 7 hours will guide us to Lukla from Namche Bazaar. The night, we will enjoy the last dinner at the land of Himalayas.
Day 24: Lukla to Kathmandu
From Lukla, we will catch the early flight over to Kathmandu as the climate may become worse later in the day. We will be at Kathmandu within the passage of several minutes. After landing at Kathmandu, we will move towards the hotel room and enjoy the leisure time at Kathmandu. We will have a success party at the night.
Day 25: Farewell
After having a relaxing night at Kathmandu, finally, the day of returning back to our home country and busy schedule has come with the ending of our glittering tour over to the highlands of Nepal. World Sight Journey will organize a small farewell program at the airport and will help for any inconvenience that may arise during the departure. We wish for your better journey ahead.
