Overview
Ganesh Himal Trekking is the newly opened trekking trail in Manaslu region and considered one of the non-touristy trekking trails in the region. Ganesh Himal offers you the panoramic views of the majestic Himalayas including Ganesh Himal, Buddha Himal, Langtang, and Himchuli among several other peaks. During this trek, we cross Singala Pass (4200m) and Pasang La Pass. The other highlights of Ganesh Himal Trek include the fantastic views of Jaisal Kunda, Sangala Pass, Pasang Bhanjyang, Jyamrung, and many other destinations. Ganesh Himal Trek also offers you the opportunity to explore the diverse culture and rural Nepalese life in the remote villages of Manaslu region. Ganesh Himal Trekking is designed to introduce you to a broad spectrum of life in different communities and beautiful scenery.
Ganesh Himal Trekking Route follows through the fantastic rhododendron and pine forests and passes. Besides, we also explore the awesome panorama of Ganesh Himal, Gosainkunda, Langtang, Annapurna Range, and Manaslu. We can also experience the incredible wilderness and explore the simple and welcoming village life along with historical palace of Gorkha.
Details Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and check-in to Hotel
The representatives from World Sight Journeys will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport upon your arrival. We then transfer you to the hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 02: Full Day Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu Valley and Pre-trip Preparation
Today, we spend the whole for the sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley. You will have the full day guided sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley covering the major cultural attractions which have also been cited as The World Heritage Cultural Sites. After having breakfast in the morning, we visit Pashupatinath, which is considered the holiest temple of Lord Shiva. We then head to Bauddhanath, which is also known as Little Tibet and also is one of the oldest and largest Buddhist Monastery in the world. Following the Bauddhanath Monastery, we visit Swayambhunath, the Monkey Temple, which is equally revered by Hindus and Buddhists. Swayambhunath is an ancient religious complex atop a hill in the west of Kathmandu. After exploring the Swayambhunath Stupa, we drive to Kathmandu (Basantpur) Durbar Square. If time allows, you can explore the city. Finally, you will have dinner at hotel and stay there overnight.
Day 03: Drive to Betrawati and Trek to Chapdanda (1220m) – 7 Hours
We drive from Kathmandu to Betwati Bazaar which takes about five hours. On the way, we pass through Trishuli Bazaar which is the shopping center of local people. We then start trekking to Chapdanda where we stay overnight at tented camp.
Day 04: Trek from Chapdanda to Bhalche (2020m) – 5 Hours
From Chapdanda, we take a short climb to Kalawale village for lunch. From Kalawale, we proceed to Bhalche which is a big Tamang village. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.
Day 05: Trek from Bhalche to Gonga (2800m) – 6 Hours
Today, we take an easy walk through forestfrom Bhalche. On the way, we can get opportunity to explore the magnificence of Langtang Lirung and Gosainkunda. After about six hours, we reach Gonga where we stay overnight at tented accommodation.
Day 06: Trek from Gonga to Rupchet (3720m) – 5 Hours
Walking through the forests of rhododendron, we head to Camp at Rupchet which is a cattle pasture. We stay overnight at a tented accommodation.
Day 07: Acclimatization Day and Hiking around the valley
We spend this day as an acclimatization or rest day at Rupchet. We can take this opportunity to explore around the Rupchet. We stay overnight at a tented accommodation.
Day 08: Trek from Rupchet to Phedi (3546m) via Singla Pass (4750m) – 7 Hours
Today, we trek upwards on Singla pass located at the elevation of 4600m. We can enjoy the spectacular views of Ganesh Himal, Bauddha Peak, Langtang Lirung, Himalchuli, Machhapuchchhre, Annapurna II and Annapurna South from Singla Pass. After crossing Singla Pass, we trek to Phedi where we stay overnight at tented accommodation.
Day 09: Trek from Phedi to Pasang Bhanjyang (4000m) – 6 Hours
From Phedi, we start trekking slightly uphill towards Pasang Bhanjyang. It takes about six hours to reach Pasang Bhanjyang. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.
Day 10: Rest and hike around the valley
We take another rest day at Pasang Bhanjyang. We utilize the time hiking up around the area as well. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.
Day 11: Trek from Bhanjyang to Tipling (2500m)
From Pasang Bhanjyang, we descend towards Tipling. Well, Tipling is a large village hosting two Buddhist Gompas, and both Protestant and Catholic Churches. We can explore the Gompa and Cremation ground for both Buddhists and Christians along the ridge top to the east. You will also get to explore the majority of Tamang community along with their rich cultural show.
Day 12: Trek from Tipling to Sertung (2050m)
From Tipling, we descend to cross the Adha Khola and then ascend to the sister villages of Sertung and Chalish overlooking the fertile river valley and terraced fields. In Sertung also, you can clearly see the majority of Tamang people. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.
Day 13: Trek from Sertung to Sapchet (1500m)
From Sertung, we start gradually downhill and passing the forests and meadows, we finally reach Sapchet where we stay overnight at tented camp.
Day 14: Trek from Sapchet to Darkha (1250m) – 7 Hours
We make an early start from Sapchet today as it’s going to be slightly longer day walk. It takes approximately seven hours to reach Darkha where we stay overnight at tented accommodation.
Day 15: Trek from Darkha to Lapang (1000m) – 6 Hours
From Lapang, we again move forward and follow the trail gradually downhill. Following the same route ahead, we eventually reach the village of Lapang where we stay overnight at tented accommodation.
Day 16: Trek from Lapang to Khahare (900m) – 6 hours
We start following the trail gradually downhill after we take our morning breakfast at Lapang. After about six hours of downhill walk, we arrive at Khahare where we stay overnight at tented accommodation.
Day 17: Trek from Khahare to Arughat (700m) – 6 Hours
We start trekking to Arughat today. On the way to Arughat, we will have many things to explore including the beautiful mountains,terraced fields and meadows. Arughat marks the end of our Ganesh Himal Trekking. We stay overnight at local lodge.
Day 18: Drive back to Kathmandu
After completing the rewarding Tsum valley trekking, we drive back to Kathmandu from Arughat. In the evening, you can join the farewell dinner with our trekking team. We stay overnight at a hotel at Kathmandu.
Day 19: Final Departure
Today, you take the returning flight to your hometown. Our representatives will assist you to reach the airport. You return to your home with an unforgettable travel experience in Nepal.
