Overview
Manaslu Expedition in Nepal is the eight highest peak in the world. The expedition to this land will bring us to the altitude of 8163m above sea level. The expedition is regarded as one of the strenuous expedition areas of Nepal. Due to the steepness of the trail and the dangerous avalanches, an expedition to the high lands of Manaslu Mountain is very risky. While doing this expedition, trekkers need to acquire some of the important information and technique regarding mountain climbing. Many trekkers don’t choose Manaslu Mountain to climb because of the toughness and the roughness of the way. The expedition to this mountain is risky but very interesting and enchanting due to its distinct landscapes and presence of trail. We need to stay several nights at the tented camp. We need to set up our camp at different base camp during our trek to this region. The expedition to this high land will offer the best view of mountains above 8000m which will amaze many of the fellow trekkers.
The trekking to these high lands begins from Kathmandu with a drive over to Aarughat and following the main trail to Manaslu trekking region, we will reach the beautiful and adventurous land of Manaslu Expedition in Nepal. The expedition goes for many days, so we need to set up our camp at different places making several base camps. Details Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu at TIA, a representative of World Sight Journey will warmly welcome you to Nepal. She/he will guide you towards the hotel room of Nepal. The day can be either rest day or some sightseeing day of Kathmandu. The night will be at the hotel by discussing the tour and enjoying the delicious dinner.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Aarughat
We will begin the trekking early in the morning. We will catch the local bus to Aarughat which will take about 8 to 9 hours of exciting journey. The trail goes through the Prithvi highway, which will serve us beautiful sceneries all around us. We will have our lunch on the way. We will follow the way towards Aarughat from Dhadingbeshi.
Day 03: Aarughat to Soti Khola
From Aarughat, we will begin our trekking to the Manaslu region. We will follow the way towards the Soti Khola which goes through the cultivated farms and through the beautiful Gurung villages of the region. We will see the first glimpse of Shringi Himal from Shanti Bazaar. We will cross the suspension bridge to spend the night over there.
Day 04: Soti Khola to Machha Khola
After having the breakfast at Soti Khola, we will trek towards the Machha Khola following the way for about 6 hours. The trail follows the forest and the settlements of Living and Lapubesi. The trail will continue following the snow melted glaciers and other rocky mountains and the night to spend at Machha Khola.
Day 05: Machha Khola to Dovan
From Machha Khola, we will follow the rolling trail to cross several streams of the way. We will reach Khola Besi after a walk for several hours. We will have our lunch there and will follow towards the suspension bridge to clear the night at Dovan at 1070m.
Day 06: Dovan to Philim
From Dovan, we will catch the steeply rocky trail which will continue towards the Yara Khola. After crossing the long suspension bridges of here, we will reach Jagat. From Jagat, we will enter into the Manaslu conservation area. Along with the way, we will see the dramatic view of Shringi Himal to our top. The night will be spending at Philim.
Day 07: Philim to Deng
From Philim, we will walk in front towards the Deng. We can get the mesmerizing view of mountains through our naked eyes throughout the way. We need to cross the suspension bridge over the Budhi Gandaki River to catch the forest to Deng at 1860m.
Day 08: Deng to Namrung
After crossing the Budhi Gandaki River, our trekking for the day begins. We will climb towards the trail from Bhi and move towards the west of Budhi Gandaki. The trail passes through the forests and Mani walls. We will take the route that goes through the Prok village. We will view the beautiful picture of Shringi Himal from the viewpoint. We need to cross Budhi Gandaki River for many times today. We should continue our trek until we reach to Namrung from Deng after a trekking of about 6 to 7 hours. The night will be at Namrung.
Day 09: Namrung to Samagaon
Early morning at Namrung, we will be busy to view the glorious view of Siring and Ganesh Himal. We will walk through the pass to reach to Lihi after crossing some beautiful forest and villages covered with the chortens and barley fields. We will enjoy the view of Manaslu Himal from Lho village. After continuing along walk for about 8 to 9 hours, we will be at Samagaon for the night.
Day 10: Samagaon to Manaslu base camp
From Samagaon, we will move towards the elevation of 4700m above sea level. The climbing ways to the up will bring us closer to our objectives. We will stay the night at the base camp of Manaslu Mountain to acclimatize ourselves. We will enjoy the night before climbing over to the mountains.
Day 11 to Day 44: Climbing day
From the base camp, we will make our journey in the increasing height through the snowy trail which will lead us to the summit of the mountain. We will stay at different base camp during the trek to the top which will be really interesting during the expedition. We will make a long but relaxing expedition to the mountain of Manaslu. We will be back to the base camp at the end of the day 44.
Day 45: base camp to Samagaon
After achieving our dream, we will return back through the same way as it has moved up. We will return back to Samagaon with the pleasure heart. Returning journey will be easier as we can walk for a long distance. The night will be at Samagaon enjoying its surrounding.
Day 46: Samagaon to Namrung
From Samagaon, we will move back to Namrung. During our return journey, we may meet some of the fellow trekkers at the trail which will be interacting and amazing. We will make a continuous descend to the village of Namrung from Samagaon.
Day 47: Namrung to Philim village
As the way goes back to Philim village from Namrung, we all will be busy in walking and taking rest rather than to enjoy the beauty of nature because the view of the mountain is no longer the amazing and new one. We will walk until we reach to Philim to stay the night.
Day 48: Philim to Machhakhola
From Philim, we will make the return journey to Machhakhola. We will walk through the downhill which will be easier in comparison with the upward sloping trails. We will walk through the down track until we reach to the region of Machhakhola at the altitude of 1330m.
Day 49: Machhakhola to Soti Khola
From Machhakhola, we will follow the river to walk towards the Soti Khola. We will see the glittering view of beautiful surrounding around us which will encourage us for the more trekking to Soti Khola. The Soti Khola is situated at the height of 1165m above sea level.
Day 50: Soti Khola to Arughat
From Soti Khola, we will walk along the way to Arughat. We will walk for about 4 to 5 hours through the main trail which will drop us to Arughat. The night will be at Arughat at the altitude of 950m above sea level.
Day 51: Arughat to Kathmandu
From Arughat, we will catch the local bus back to Kathmandu. The road journey goes for about 7 to 8 hours which will enable us to stay the night relaxingly at the heart of Nepal. The night will be fantastic at Kathmandu at one of the best hotels of the locality.
Day 52: Farewell
After completing our adventurous journey over to the high lands of Manaslu region, we will enjoy the party organized by Word Sight Journey After attending the party, we will move towards the airport. We need to reach airport 3 hours before the flight. We will get on the flight to fly over to our final destination.
