Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and check-in to Hotel

The representatives from World Sight Journeys will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport upon your arrival. We then transfer you to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 02: Full Day Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu Valley and Pre-trip Preparation

Today, we spend the whole for the sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley. You will have the full day guided sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley covering the major cultural attractions which have also been cited as The World Heritage Cultural Sites. After having breakfast in the morning, we visit Pashupatinath, which is considered the holiest temple of Lord Shiva.  We then head to Bauddhanath, which is also known as Little Tibet and also is one of the oldest and largest Buddhist Monastery in the world. Following the Bauddhanath Monastery, we visit Swayambhunath, the Monkey Temple, which is equally revered by Hindus and Buddhists.   Swayambhunath is an ancient religious complex atop a hill in the west of Kathmandu. After exploring the Swayambhunath Stupa, we drive to Kathmandu (Basantpur) Durbar Square. If time allows, you can explore the city. Finally, you will have dinner at the hotel and stay there overnight.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Dolakha to Shigati (950m) and trek to Suri Dobhan– 8 Hours

Today, we head northeast of Kathmandu via Buson the Friendship Highway connecting Kathmandu to Lhasa. We leave the Friendship Highway on Lamosangu as take another way to Jiri. We eventually reach Shigati. From Shigati, we trek to Suri Dhobhan where we stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 04: Trek from Suri Dobhan to Jagat (1440m) – 6 Hours

From Suri Dhobhan, we trek along the river continuing on the flat land. Crossing several streams and jungles on the way, we eventually cross the suspension bridge to reach the small town of Jagat. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 05: Trek from Jagat to Simigaun (1990m) – 5 Hours

From Jagat, we first follow the normal flat path and then ascend and descend through the jungle. Following the trail through river bank, we cross the suspension bridge over the river and take a steep climb to the Sherpa village of Simigaun. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 06: Trek from Simigaun to Kharka (2900m) – 6 Hours

Passing by few more Sherpa settlements, we move from Simigaun. We will enjoy the fascinating views of Gaurishankar above the Rolwaling Valley. Continuing towards the Rolwaling valley, we climb rocky ridge with the beautiful forest of pine. We again descend to the river of Rolwaling Khola where we stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 07: Trek from Kharka to Beding (3690m) – 4 Hours

Today, we ascend uphill through different varieties of plants and Rhododendrons.Continuing along left bank of Rolwaling Khola, we walk along the deep river valley and eventually arrive at a tributary river from Gaurishankar. En route, we will get to see awe-inspiring views of Gaurishankar as well. Following the trail further through relatively flat terrain, we finally arrive at the Sherpa village of Beding where we stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 08: Trek from Beding to Na (4180m) – 5 Hours

We will have an easy walk along the northern bank of the Rolwaling River. Passing across the summer village of Beding, we will get to see several Yaks grazing and people busy in their fields of buckwheat and barley. Continuing the trail, we arrive at a monastery. Trekking little further will bring us to the summer village of Na where we stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 09: Trek from Na to Tso Rolpa Lake (4588m) – 7 Hours

From Na, we trek through the leveled plain and then gradually ascend to witness the Himalayan Lake filled with the chilling water of the glaciers. We can witness the awesome vista of Menlung and Tibetan Side Mountains on the way to Tso Rolpa. Trekking along the right bank of the river and crossing the river to climb up the lateral moraine of Glacier, we eventually reach Tso Rolpa. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 10: Trek from Tso Rolpa Lake to Trakarding Glacier (4588m) – 4 Hours

We head towards Trakarding Glacier early in the morning. We explore the surrounding and beauty of the lake throughout the day. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 11: Trek from Trakarding Glacier to Tashi Lapcha Base Camp (5010m) – 5 Hours

Today, we walk through the high slopes above the glacier and further up along the center of the hard rocky glacier. Trekking steadily to the lowest point of the icefall, we then climb to the easiest point to gain the Drolambau glacier. Continuing further downhill from Drolambau Glacier, we camp at Tashi Lapcha Phedi Camp at the bottom of Tashi Lapcha. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 12: Cross Tashi Lapcha Pass (5755m) – 5 Hours

We continue our trek to Tashi Lapcha Pass today. We can witness the beautiful views of senior Khumbu peaks from the top of the pass. We then descend some hundred meter downhill trek and set up our camps for an overnight stay.

Day 13: Climb to Pachermo (6272m) and then trek to Thengpo (4372m) – 6 Hours

Today, we start climbing to Pachhermo. Continuing through the snow slopes, we make the final ascent to Pachhermo which sometimes can require fixed ropes as well. We can witness the magnificent and awe-inspiring views of Khumbu peaks including Everest and Makalu from the top of Pachhermo. Afer spending a memorable moment at the summit, we descend to the Col and then to Thengpo. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 14: Rest Day at Thengpo

In case of bad weather, we can take this day as Contingency day. This can be taken as acclimatization day as well. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 15: Trek from Thengpo to Thame (3820m) – 5 Hours

Today will relatively easy walk for us as we walk from Thengpo to the Thame. We can explore a very old and interesting monastery at the end of Thame. We can also get the glimpse of first really good views of great Khumbu peaks including the Everest. We stay overnight at tented accommodation.

Day 16: Trek from Thame to Namche (3440m) – 5 Hours

Following the trail along Bhotekoshi River for about a couple of hours, we descend gently at first and then steeply to a bridge over the Dudh Koshi at Phunki Tenga. We pass through several villages and numerous teashops on the way and finally arrive at Namche Bazaar where we stay overnight at local lodge.

Day 17: Trek from Namche to Lukla (2840m) – 5 Hours

From Namche, we return back to Lukla. With this, we mark the end of our trekking. We stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 18: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

We get the scheduled morning flight to Kathmandu from Lukla. The flight is going to be very scenic and adventurous. On arriving Kathmandu, you can take your time to go for your last minute shopping or you can choose to explore the city even more. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 19: Final Departure

Today, you take the returning flight to your hometown. Our representatives will assist you to reach the airport. You return to your home with an unforgettable travel experience in Nepal.
