Upper Dolpo Trekking

Overview
Upper Dolpo Trekking is one of the most challenging treks in the most remote and least developed regions of Nepal. Dolpo Trekking was restricted for trekkers until 1989. Located between the Tibetan Plateau and Dhaulagiri Himalayan range, Upper Dolpo is known to be the highest inhabited land in Dolpo Region. In fact, Dolpo is very isolated part of Nepal and has long been strictly off limit region as well. Upper Dolpo Trekking offers you the unique experience of trekking in highly remote and least beaten tracks of Nepal.
Upper Dolpo Trek not only offers you the unique backdrop in the remote Nepal Himalayas, but also a typical culture and lifestyle of Dolpo people, which still is intact and untouched of modernization. We pass through many gigantic mountain ranges including Kanjirowa, Annapurna, and Dhaulagiri massif among others. We begin our actual trek to Upper Dolpo from Jhupal from where we begin to explore the wonderful culture and people, diverse flora and fauna. Crossing several huge mountain ranges and popular Numala Pass, we eventually reach renowned Shey Phoksundo Lake. Phoksundo Lake has situated nearby Ringmo Village. While talking about Upper Mustang, the famous Oscar Nominee movie Caravan comes into account. Actually, Caravan is entirely based on Dolpo Region. In that sense too, Upper Dolpo Trekking is going to be very special for all trekkers from around the globe. It’s indeed one of the must-go destinations in Nepal. Upper Dolpo Trek will also let you explore many other things besides the untouched and unspoiled biodiversity and intact culture. World Sight Journey cordially welcomes you all for this unique and life-defining trekking package in Upper Dolpo.
